Grace and Graffiti - part 2

As darkness falls the monuments come to life. Brightly illuminated, they dazzle like jewels against the black backdrop and the scene transforms itself. We are too hungry to carry on and the restaurants beckon. We follow our noses and find ourselves ordering a "small meats platter" for two. A cold beer and a glass of sweet sangria the perfect companions.

 

 

We walk till we can walk no more. Back in our hotel we go to the rooftop restaurant for an amazing view of Athens as it stretches in every direction, the view of the Acropolis at night is breathtaking. Tomorrow, the Acropolis and the Archeology museum.
